Gala season is upon us and it’s the perfect time to revisit some of our past performances that just might provide the perfect inspiration for your next event. With its “Out of Africa” theme, the San Antonio Zoo’s 41st annual Zoobilation Ball was a spectacular hit for guests and hosts alike (and our own Illusions and Rosemary’s Catering teams also loved helping to bring this fundraiser to life)! Skilled craftspeople, designers, structure specialists, culinary professionals and other technicians all came together to create a virtual tropical paradise under the airy surroundings of our elegant tents.
We all know how unpredictable the weather can be in south Texas, so even though this event was held in November, we were prepared not only for precipitation but also temperature fluctuations. The Illusions catalogue has a wide range of cooling and heating options to maintain the most ambient, comfortable environments no matter what the forecast throws at us!
But remember…galas don’t necessarily have to be super glamorous to be called a gala! The unique Red, White & Boots theme at the 33rd annual Witte Game Dinner was the perfect example of how a less formal concept can be elevated into something spectacular. The event made a Texas-sized impact on attendees with its casually comfortable vibe, complete with all the flavors, food, and festivities everyone loves about the Lone Star State.
Table rounds draped in blue or red and white-checked coverings, flanked by comfortable seating, dotted the large outdoor space illuminated by strands of twinkling lights and portable fixtures. Custom, large-format decals printed in house at our studio decorated the freestanding bar and dessert stations, while themed accent décor (check out those boots!) added the perfect touches to tie it all together.
